Originally from Wisconsin, Jean Nehm and her family made their home in Bowling Green in 1983. As an associate professor at Western Kentucky University, she taught composition, literature, and writing for international students. In 1994, she was invited to join the Browning Club, which has been an ongoing pleasure and which ignited her deep interest in all the literary clubs in our city. Her book, entitled Respectfully Submitted: The Remarkable Literary Clubs of Bowling Green, Kentucky, was published in 2020 by Landmark Association. In her leisure time, Jean enjoys reading, cooking, hiking in America’s national parks, and caring for the family’s miniature dachshunds.
